  1. New School New Safety Surface

    EPDM Granules


    One of the largest orders of the year has just been completed at Kemball Special School in Stoke on Trent. A full load of FlooraBase tyre granules and approximately 15 tonnes of FlooraBright EPDM granules were supplied to surface over 1,000 square meters of play area and walkway within the new school grounds. The surface colour chosen was a special blend of light green and dark green FlooraBright EPDM granules.

    FlooraBright EPDM granules when mixed with polyurethane binder provide a strong, durable impact-absorbing surface, which can be installed in any shape and size without any joins. As the EPDM granules are laid as a continuous surface there are no tripping hazards and it can be installed right up to existing play equipment, meaning that there are no unprotected areas. The right surface thickness is always retained in the right place providing a low-maintenance surface option.
